Watch the Night Time Flee the Morning

“This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in the sight of God.”
—John 3: 19-21

Watch the Night Time Flee the Morning

Watch the night time flee the morning,
Watch the darkness flee the Light,
Watch the natural man run headlong
From what’s Holy, Pure and Right.

Watch the crooked flee from Justice,
Watch the conscience being seared,
Watch God’s Law get deconstructed,
Watch as Revelation’s jeered.

Watch as Sin puts on her make-up,
Gussied-up in Self-Esteem.
Watch as Pridefulness progresses,
Watch as Human Reason preens.

Watch the scholars hoot ‘n’ holler:
“Jesus isn’t really God!”
Watch ‘em wash their hands with Pilate,
And perpetuate the fraud.

Watch ‘em mock the Holy Bible,
Watch ‘em cut, delete and paste,
Watch ‘em take out what disturbs ‘em,
And what doesn’t suit their taste.

Watch the Gospel Truth get gutted,
Watch The Word again denied ,
Watch the fallen finding comfort ,
In the darkness where they hide.

Lord, it’s still that age old story,
The rebellion’s still the same.
We’re still running just like Adam …
We’re still playing Satan’s game.

Adam Hiding in the Garden

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.”
—John 3: 16-18
