Tom Graffagnino (b. 1949) began drawing and painting in the spring of 1971. As a senior at Tulane University ( majoring in sociology at the time), he decided ... “just for fun”... to take an introductory drawing course that was being offered only to non-art majors. By the time the course had ended, he recognized that he had a passion for painting and drawing and has pursued both ever since.......
Tom has exhibited his work in galleries throughout the United States, including New York, Washington DC, Philadelphia, Atlanta and elsewhere. He has had several museum shows and has participated in numerous group exhibitions and invitational national competitions over the years. (See CV for more details.)
Tom and Ann McCormick were married in the summer of 1971. They were married for 36 years until Ann's death in 2007. Together they had two children, Patrick and Maria.
In the spring of 2011, Tom met Jane Skelton from Canton, Georgia. Three months later (in July of 2011), Tom and Jane were married. Tom and Jane now live and work in Canton where they enjoy being near two of their four children... (Tom's Patrick and Jane's Katie)... and four wonderful grandchildren.
