It’s a Fetal Imposition

“This is our first task — caring for our children. It’s our first job. If we don’t get that right, we don’t get anything right. That’s how, as a society, we will be judged…. And by that measure, can we truly say, as a nation, that we are meeting our obligations? Can we honestly say that we’re doing enough to keep our children — all of them — safe from harm? Can we claim, as a nation, that we’re all together there, letting them know that they are loved, and teaching them to love in return? Can we say that we’re truly doing enough to give all the children of this country the chance they deserve to live out their lives in happiness and with purpose?”
— President Barack Obama

Not too long ago it was reported that the president of the United States said that if his daughters found themselves confronted with an accidental /”mistake” pregnancy, he wouldn’t want them to be “punished with a baby”.

When the leaders of a country begin to refer to babies as a “punishment”… and nobody bats an eye…., we can be fairly certain that we have turned a very dark spiritual corner in the land.

It’s a Fetal Imposition

What we have here’s NOT a “baby”…
No, that term just doesn’t fit….
It’s a “choice”, it’s not a person*,
It’s a “punishment”…an “IT”.

It’s a “deal”…(but not a BIG one)
Just a “pregnancy” that irks…
It’s a monkey wrench of trouble
That’s been tossed into the works.

It’s an “accident”, an ”error”,
A “mistake” two folks can make….
Not a child to be concerned with ,
Just a “bit” too much to take.

It’s a bad miscalculation….
It’s a “not-so-bless’d-event”
It’s an: “Oh dear! Look what happened!”
It’s a : “This ain’t what we meant!”

It’s a fetal imposition,
Like that flu germ that you caught.
But, don’t worry, we can fix it…
Don’t give ”it” a second thought.

It was sex that just went haywire,
It’s a train that got derailed,
It’s a common misconception…
A “good time” that simply failed.

It’s a lifestyle interruption,
It’s a glitch no one could see,
It’s an “OOOPS!” no one saw coming,
It’s a bonnet with a bee.

It’s an “error” to contend with,
Some “bad luck” that’s taken place.
A “result” no one expected,
Just a “blunder” to erase.

It’s an issue we’re disliking
It’s a tissue-mass surprise,
It’s a big-time party-pooper,
Not a life to recognize.

A conundrum that needs fixing,
An event you can avoid….
It’s a “mess” you’ve gotten into,
A “sad state” to be destroyed.

But, thank God, it’s NOT a problem,
No, my friend, not anymore!
YOU decide now what’s inside there…
One to cradle or abhor.

If you find it inconvenient…,
Like a “penalty” for fun,
There’s a quick, pain free solution:
Roe v Wade…can git ‘er done!

"On the ultrasound screen, I could see the heart beating . . . the baby’s little fingers were clasping and unclasping, and his little feet were kicking. Then the doctor stuck the scissors in the back of his head, and the baby’s arms jerked out, like a startle reaction, like a flinch, like a baby does when he thinks he is going to fall."
— Brenda Pratt Shafer, RN, testifying in 1996 before the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee

"Lord, forgive us."

*For those interested, here is an article that reasonably and logically spells out the truth that a baby in the womb is exactly that: a human being, a person.... a baby in the womb: http://www.peterkreeft.com/topics-more/personhood_apple.htm
