Isaiah, Sistine Chapel, MichaelangeloWhile the Hadron Revelation of Prophet Arkani- Hamed may have been something new and surprising to many of the fearless fundamentalist followers of The Most High-Tech, I’m pretty sure that the Jewish Prophet Isaiah would not have been particularly surprised…..
“…I will astound these people with wonder upon wonder; the wisdom of the wise will perish, the intelligence of the intelligent will vanish…” (Isaiah 29: 14)
… nor would Solomon have been shocked…..

…nor the Psalmist dismayed….

All of this reminds me of the prescient words that astronomer/ physicist Robert Jastrow spoke some years ago:

Contradiction’s on our side!
Never Mind!... Yes, we’re committed!
Since our brains we’ve deified!
